
Tim Receveur is the co-founder of one of the largest independent music festivals in the United States, the Supernova International Ska Festival. He is currently the managing director of the Festival. It takes place at Fort Monroe, in Hampton, Virginia every September and features ska and reggae bands from around the world. Supernova was named as a Top 10 indie festival by the Grammy Awards.
He is also the Director of Digital Initiatives at Hostage Aid Worldwide where he coordinates the non-profit’s data-driven hostage tracking system powered by predictive analytics and artificial intelligence.
Before joining Hostage Aid, Tim was the Director of Programs at PeaceTech Lab where he worked to reduce violent conflict using technology and also served as a foreign affairs officer at the U.S. Department of State from 2000-2013 and active duty Air Force from 1991-2000.
