Evan Thomas is Director of Marketing for Mogli, a mobile-first digital engagement application built on Salesforce. With over 25 years of experience working in marketing and communications, he has extensive background in storytelling, brand building, and demand generation strategy. His introduction to ska music happened in 1994 when he discovered the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and experienced a live ska show for the first time. He quickly approached the music director at his college radio station and launched a weekly ska specialty show. For the next three years, Evan continued to immerse himself in the music, spinning the latest tunes from Moon, Jump-Up, and more, while catching live shows and interviewing bands, including Spring Heeled Jack, The Toasters, and Reel Big Fish, anytime they ventured into central Pennsylvania. Discovering the Virginia Ska Festival in 2015 was like finding a time machine, with a map to the future, as Evan reconnected with the music he fell in love with during college and opened the door to the music that was still being made. Joining the Supernova Alliance, he brings years of board membership and executive leadership experience with non-profit advocacy groups including The Nature Generation, Arlington Montessori Action Committee, and Arlington CCPTA. Evan resides in Arlington, VA with his wife, two children, and a host of animals.
