
Dunia Best Sinnreich is a vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist of musical styles and instruments from all around the world, most recently known as a founding member of the bands Dunia and Aram and Rude Girl Revue. As a native New Yorker and current resident of the Washington D.C. area, she has been exposed to the languages, cultures and musics of people from every continent where people live. Dunia spent five years working for the concert presenting non-profit organization World Music Institute in New York, where they presented music from countries like Mali, Hungary and Italy as well as local performers of music from around the world. Dunia has also been on the board of the Maryland Youth Pipe Band, a performing and competing bagpipe band that offers music lessons and Scottish cultural experiences to young musicians from all around Maryland, Washington D.C. and Virginia. She currently works as a teaching artist in Maryland to children from age 2 to 14. Dunia has a passion for music and culture and for removing the borders that limit human understanding and growth. Dunia’s goal is to unite people across the street and around the world.
